Temporary ice-rinks
The first temporary ice-rinks were initiated in late 90’s in the
Netherlands and Belgium during the end-year celebrations. Aggreko
was first on this market and became the main Partner for supplying
chillers and associated turnkey services…
Year after year, what was seen as just fashion became a real
institution in many towns of Europe. For the season 2009/2010,
Aggreko will provide in the whole of Europe its logistics and
project management skills and its rental equipments (chillers,
pumps, buffer tanks, hydraulic and electrical ancillaries) for the
good realisation of these events. More than 360 ice-rinks will be
maintained « on ice » thanks to Aggreko in the Netherlands,
Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and
Austria. In total, more than 150.000 m² of ice will be maintained
at the right temperature in order to ice skate as easy as possible
from Christmas to the New Year.
